Depraved Awakening

About Depraved Awakening

Scenes are rendered in 3D and animated for key moments, with dialogue and choices driving the plot. The adventure framing keeps the story moving between locations instead of parking the camera in one room, and decisions about trust, money and relationships shape what later chapters offer. One run will not show every branch, and the game expects you to pick a side rather than please everyone.

The tone is uneven on purpose: romance and humour sit next to violence and coercion, and the game does not hide that side of itself. Content tags include corruption, BDSM and graphic violence, so read them before you start. The English release is uncensored, and the writing commits to the darker material rather than backing away from it late on.

Version 1.0 arrived on 24 November 2018 and has not moved since, which makes this a finished product rather than a project to follow. Windows, Mac, Linux and Android builds are all available. Ren'Py asks little of a machine, so even older laptops handle the renders, and there is no online component to break when a server goes quiet.
