About Paracosmic Reality
The story moves between two registers, contemporary life and a fantasy frame, and the 3D CG artwork holds both. Hybrid characters fill the cast, the romance is openly poly rather than a single pairing, and the tone shifts with whichever register the scene is sitting in. The shortstack and monster designs get the same weight as the human ones.
Semi-kinetic means most scenes run on their own and only a few decisions branch. Those decisions count for more than their number suggests, since they decide whose route stays open. Reading time per chapter is longer than the choice count implies, because the prose does most of the work. Nothing branches on a timer either, so a chapter can be read in one sitting or spread over a week.
