The cast is the other half of the draw. Monster girls, cosplay outfits, prostitution and BDSM scenes all sit inside the same city, and animated 3D cutscenes carry the encounters. Because the protagonist can be played as female or as futa/trans, the writing splits romance and rivalry across both versions instead of locking one.
