About Goblin Layer
Maps are explored on a grid, with random encounters and scripted fights. Levels, gear and gold come from battles, and progress through a dungeon usually means clearing a set of rooms before the exit finally opens. Later builds add status effects and party options rather than replacing that same core loop.
The writing leans on parody: goblins, adventurers and guild paperwork all get the same treatment. Animated scene art appears between chapters, and the cast includes several recurring characters whose routes unlock as the plot moves. Cheating and teasing themes run alongside the adventure storyline itself.
The game is still in development. Version 0.58.8 was published on 25 April 2026 and updated on 7 July 2026, and Windows, Mac and Linux archives are all provided. English is the only language and the release is uncensored. Saves live in the game's own save directory, so copy that folder before updating.
